Spending Transparency

Former Governor Mark Sanford issued an Executive Order requiring "spending transparency" for all state agencies. The intent of this order was to allow the public to use the internet to see funds that are spent by each agency on a monthly basis.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is happy to provide this means of allowing the public to see where their funds are spent. This site will permit you to see payments to vendors of $100 or more for items like supplies and contracts, and to employees for all travel reimbursement expenses.

SCDOT hopes that you will use this site to examine the expenditures that support the maintenance of South Carolina's 41,500 miles of roads and 8,337 bridges which constitute the 4th-largest state-maintained highway system in the United States.
