Q: What are the project limits?
A: The project extends from the I-26/I-385 interchange north up I-385 for 15 miles up to SC Route 92.
Q: Can I drive north on I-385 north of the project?
A: Yes, the first exit available to get on I-385 northbound is exit 16, SC Route 101.
Q: Are both directions of the interstate closed?
A: No, only the northbound direction of travel is affected by the detour.
Q: Will both sides of the interstate be rehabilitated within the scope of this project?
A: Yes, once the northbound side is complete southbound traffic will be transferred to the newly rehabilitated northbound side via median crossovers.
Q: When will southbound traffic be transferred to the northbound side?
A: This is tentatively scheduled for mid-April.
Q: Will I be able to use exit ramps when southbound traffic is moved to the northbound side?
A: The only exit ramp that will be open during this stage of construction will be the US Route 221 interchange at exit 9. All other exits within this fifteen mile corridor will be closed.
Q: Will I still be able to get on I-26 eastbound from I-385 southbound during this stage?
A: Yes
